The Swell Designer

Being a creative being isn’t what it is all cracked up to be. I love doing anything creative, seeing anything creative, being anything creative, but it can be so dang overwhelming. I guess I should pick one hobby and be dedicated, but I love everything craft. OK, I have no desire to paint on end, considering I work at a paint company, but occasionally maybe. Mainly, I just want to bead necklaces, bracelets and earrings. Yesterday, I did this wired bead art thingamabob that I hung around a vase for decoration. Well, it turned out really cute, so I made Diane, Jennifer, and Carol these little wrapped wire creations. Carol thinks I can sell them and she told me they were truly unique, but there goes adding another craft to the list. It is not that I don’t like having such great ideas, but implementing them is another story. Maybe if I was Andy Warhol this wouldn’t be a problem, but crafting as well as cleaning and keeping up with other crap is too much. I am a scatterbrained mess at times. So, these are the things that interest me at the moment:

Beading (Wire Wrapping, Ribbon stuff and charms, new shapes, patterns and colors)

Scrapbooking (I have so many pages to do and not enough matching papers, but another trip to the scrapbook store might not be where I need to be what I focus on right now)

Home decor (I’m pretty much done with it for now, considering I can’t paint or make any major splash, and it is expensive; however I would like another mod chair for my living room and more cube-its along with more framed art which means more money)

Knitting (I want to make something more than a scarf and I have to tackle the dreaded purl stitch…I don’t think it will be that hard)

OK, this is not a craft, but on the side design. I have to HAVE to get my web site up and going. I have decided to go back to the less elaborate format. I spent a lot of time when I was off at Christmas changing it around, but I need to just get it up and make it simple (that didn’t sound good, did it?)

Freenlancing/card making – I have this Guiness BOok of World Record card set I want to illustrate.

So, what does that leave me to do? Have no social life? I mean, my social life has never been amazing, but man oh man, I can’t schedule my life around shows.
