OK, so it’s early, but I’m already pumped about fall and Halloween. Man oh man, I just love the combination of orange and black. I think I could wear it all year long (stripes esp.). I went to Wal-mart tonight and the Halloween accents, crafts, home décor stuff…it all just screams at me. There was the cutest orange and black shirt (orange t-shirt over long black sleeve t-shirt) for a little girl with a crazy abstract design and a little cat and the middle. It was so cute (I actually wish they had it in the adult size). It even had that felt/velvet sticker type feeling I remember that I have in my sticker book from when I was a kid on it. I think I might just have to break down and get it for my neice.
I have bought a few Halloween things this year. Last week, I bought the cutest orange and black purse with feathers and then today I bought black Pixie cat earrings that were only 44¢. Does that not rock? I couldn’t believe it! I also bought some great orange and sequin fabric from the $1 section at Wal-mart a few weeks back. I love it.
I am debating on having a Halloween party. I have had one for the past 3 years and I really think I want to do it again…it’s just that hosting for 20 or so people can get expensive. I just don’t want to overdo it financially. I also tend to go overboard with decorations and food and all that goes along with my hosting duties. Another girl has also asked me to co-host a wedding shower in Oct. for Carey, so I have to factor that in too.
Whew. It will be here before we know it (I’m almost looking more forward to Halloween than my b-day, how funny is that?). I can’t wait to go to the pumpkin patch to pick out my pumpkin. So much to do!
halloween is probably my favorite holiday. what other day can you dress up like a total nutball and have people not make fun of you.
would it be possible to ask people to bring one halloween themed dish and a drink to your party? that way you don’t have to spend a lot of money, just some.
