So, I had a good weekend. It was so nice outside. Loved seeing the giant clouds on a blue sky and listening to my Elizabethtown soundtrack as I drove by Elizabethtown (how clever of me – Ha!).
I went home to see my family. It was one of those combined Easter/Birthday celebrations. It was nice to see my family. Everyone was there. My neice and nephews are getting so big! They are not the cute babies that they once were. Oh, well, but they are still pretty entertaining. My nephew, Grant, brought his jumprope along and it was a big hit. He has been practicing, cause his school has a jumprope team…A JUMPROPE TEAM! I have never heard of such a thing…they are called the “Jumping Jaguars”. Actually, I think it is a cute idea. He really wants to be on it next year. We played a jump rope game where you run through once and then have to jump in once then jump out, jump in two and jump out, etc, etc. It is considered “jumping grades” I never recall doing this as a kid at Wayland, but we did jumprope to “Bubblegum, bubblegum in a dish, how many pieces do you wish”…and “Cinderella dressed in yella, went up stairs to kiss her fella…On her way, her girdle busted, how many people were disgusted.” I always thought that one was funny as a kid…I guess that was my perverse side showing even as a little girl.
Came back today and did some chores, some returns and more. I am starting to feel slightly stressed about my new car. I know it is manageable for me to make the payments, but I am really going to have to cut back on my eating out. I eat out almost every day at work. So, I went to Kroger tonight and really focused on getting stuff to make sandwiches and salads for the week. I feel like I did a good job in doing so. I bought enough food to feed myself all week for $22. I think that is good. Instead of buying every single different type of veggie, I just went to the salad bar, and got a variety. It ended up being like, $1, so I was excited that I thought of that one. Little things like that make a big difference. I also evaluated what I have in stock, here at home, and I have so much canned and boxed goods, that it isn’t funny. I really need to start planning and organizing my meals better.
Pixie looks so, so sitting next to the doorway. She is all curled up in a little ball. A couple of days ago, I took some uber cute photos of her…here they are.
