Today was a day. The day went by fast. I enjoyed that part. I’m working a very monotonous project that I hope to be finished with in the next month or so (that’s the hope). Sometimes projects get just so strung along. Geez. It kills me. It’s more the production part rather than the creative part and my brain just can’t wrap around most production jobs. Too bad I don’t have someone to pass it onto. It just doesn’t work that way.
I watched Idol tonight. I found it rather enjoyable. Let me just say this, I’m not one to call or text in a vote. Haven’t done that really since season 1 or 2. I do have eyes for Jason Castro. Man, oh, man, that boy is just beautiful. Without a boyfriend and all, at least I have something to look forward to? Did you notice that was a question? Yeah, pathetic.
I am trying to move some of my craft stuff into my dining area. I don’t use the space really, and I don’t have room anywhere else, so that is where my crafts are going to have to be housed. Joy, oh joy. I just wish I had nicer hideway shelves or something with a little eye appeal…all I’ve got now are wire racks. Good shelving/organization is so freakin’ pricey!
Oh, and here’s a pic I took tonight while so-called “organizing”…
Alexa, you are a creative, artistic gal. There are lots of organized people out there who marvel at your kind of talent– just as we creative types can be bewildered by this skill called organization. Loral Langemeier advises to focus on your strengths & hire your weaknesses. Or entice a friend to help!
What helped me was to set up stations like in a kindergarten classroom. And not to have more than one place for something. It’s all about finding a system that works for you. I tend to be a spreader and get messy, but at some point, (usually at the end of a project), I clean things up. BTW, I had an official art area, but I found that I kept bringing projects into the kitchen, so I eventually just moved everything there. If you’re feeling like the dining room is where the creative juices flow, then go for it! Good luck! 🙂 Hali
