Really Great Photo Ideas and a fun new link!

Been checking out the web as of late and have found some really great photography ideas that I think are pretty fab.

If you’ve been to a wedding recently, you may have gotten those cute little initial or word M&M’s, but now, they’ve taken M&M’s to a whole new level…introducing…Photo M&M’s

Wouldn’t these be great for that grandparent or friend who has everything?? Or a really cool alternative to the much overplayed gift card? The only problem is…doesn’t this give a whole new meaning to “Eat Me”?

My friend Retta featured a post a few weeks back about a really cool book she made on . I’ve been eyeing these photo books for a while and just haven’t found the time or reason to make one. Now thinking about it, I bet my mom would really like one for Christmas….hmmmmm. Anyway, below is a pic of the one that Retta made for a friend who got married. Retta is such a great photographer and I know her friends prob. gasped when they saw this beautiful book. Retta, you sure are swell!

I really loved this personalized memory game idea that I found on Life Hacker. This would be the make the most awesome gift for a young child trying to remember relatives or special people in their life. And it would be reasonably inexpensive. I guess if you didn’t want to go to the trouble of getting them processed you could print them out onto your printer and adhere them to playing cards for durability. Beats the heck out of all the other Memory games I’ve ever played with a 4 year old!

Geez, I meant to a lot with this lunch hour, but there’s never enough time. I really wish there was a web site where you could post to multiple blogs and forums, post a twitter, post a photo all in the same click! I’m sure one of these days, we will see this, but for now, I guess I’m going to do it the old-fashioned way, one by one. I’m sure these types of ideas are in the works (at least I hope so!).

I did find a cool web site (found out about it through my crazy web link log via Margot. Anyway, it is called My Craftivity.

From what I can tell it is a really neat forum and place to share ideas and make new friends. I look forward to researching and testing it out a bit more. So if you are on there, be sure to add me as a friend. Here’s my personal my craftivity page Looks like it has a lot of potential with it’s great layout and usability. I’m inspired.

Until next time Swellions!
