So, I spent a couple hours tonight arranging the three shelves you see here. You wouldn’t think it would take that long, but it did. Arranging little trinkets and organizing books into color order takes a while.
This is just 3 of my 6 shelves of my bookshelf. I am not going to show the rest of the shelves…that’s for another post. I hope that I can arrange them in a way so that the other shelves don’t look totally disconnected from these 3.
I tried to put in little items that spoke to me. A ceramic cat my sister Sophia made me, a trinket box from my friend Arianna, my California Raisins my grandmother bought me when I was little. I also tried to spice it up with imagery and colors I liked. I through a rainbow in there (Babe Rainbow, isn’t that funny?), a touch of glitter, and some polka dots. I really want my studio to be an expression of me and the things I love.
I’ve been putting off organizing my studio for awhile and I’ve been working on it for the past couple of weeks. I finally went through a whole bunch of plastic bins with random crap in them and I sorted my scrapbook and bead stuff. There’s several odds and ends I still have to do and I still need to get the shelves and pictures up along with my paper lanterns. It will come together…I just need to stay on top of it and see it through!
Well, off to bed!
Until next time Swellions!

I saw your photo on Corners of my Home on Flickr, and the red, of course, caught my eye. I love the way you’ve organized your treasures 🙂 I’ve been collecting Wizard of Oz stuff since I was a little girl, and now at 28 I’m trying to make my new apartment home more “big girl-ish” without tucking away all of my memorabilia… So I appreciate seeing such a fun and colorful way to display things!
Good fill someone in on and this fill someone in on helped me alot in my college assignement. Thanks you as your information.
