There’s some recipes I have to try to believe. One of these such recipes is making ice cream from bananas…I mean, how simple and amazing could that be, right? I found this recipe at Use Real Butter and had to make it immediately. Here’s how I did it!
To make this simple treat, follow these simple steps: 1) Cut up 4 bananas into a freezer-safe bowl; cover and freeze for several hours or overnight. 2) Put your frozen bananas into your food processor and start blending. 3) You may think not much is going on, because the bananas turn gritty for a long time! Stay patient, the bananas will turn smooth and creamy in a few minutes! 4) Once blended and creamy, add in some fun flavoring (if you want). I put a little dutch process cocoa and peanut butter in mine. You can mix in some chocolate chips or nuts if you want. Even mix in fun flavors like caramel topping or Nutella!
Note: If you want it less “soft serve” like mine appears, you can put it back in the plastic tub to harden and become scoopable. Once hardened, it makes a great scoopable ice cream for cones or sundaes!
It turned out super yummy and creamy. William even gave it two thumbs up.
What do you think? Does this look something you want to try?
Until next time Swellions!
Thank you so much for this post. I want to let you know that I posted a link to your blog in Creative Busy Bee Craft Inspirations, under the Page 2 post on Aug. 30, 2012. Thanks again.
