Finished with my 365

365/365

I’m finished with my 365. I’m feeling a bit guilty for losing sight and track of the days. So…I have a whole entire collection devoted to my 365, but it’s more like 355 cause I am trying to organize all the photos. My friend Chris was so diligent about posting his photos a day or two within the time they were taken, but I wasn’t. Now it’s coming back to haunt me as I organize them.

Nonetheless, I’m finished. And tonight I took a photo out and about on the railroad tracks in downtown Fresno. Honestly, I didn’t realize this was my last day til this evening, but it is actually an appropriate photo to close out my 365. Like the sun is setting on this project.

I’m glad it is over. I think I have quite a few great photos that tell my story throughout the year, while there are quite a few that are less than stellar too. What do I think I learned from this process? Well, I’m proud that I actually succeeded to commiting to something even though it was hard. I’m also a little less afraid to show my true self as well as reveal my imperfections. As far as my photography skills go, I don’t know that I improved a lot…I would have if this was my only project on my plate, but when I did go to the extra effort, my photos turned out pretty great. I know if I set out to take a great photo, I can achieve it.

Well, I’m so glad it is finished and I’m glad you stayed with me during this process. Thanks for all the support of my friends as I have attempted to do this project. I want to give you a little more indepth review of my project once I get the photos organized!

Until next time Swellions!

Was in a weird mood today. You know those days where things are just a wee bit off? Well, I did like my new pink shirt and my locket, so I made it the photo of choice today. I heart my locket (pun kinda intended).

A pretty uneventful day. Talked to my sis and niece and nephew, went to pharmacy, Panera, and to Target. Got a coffee maker at Target. I had one, but it isn’t working right lately and is burning my coffee and leaking, so I got a $20 replacement. I plan on utilizing it rather than stopping for my morning coffee run at McDonald’s. That adds up pretty darn fast!

This was taken around the corner of my house. For those who follow my stream, you saw it a few weeks ago. It’s an accessible place with a few areas of interest. I was hoping to take photos next to the wig shop, but it wasn’t lighted at all 🙁 I was hoping to take a funny freaky mannequin head and me shot. Oh, well, I like the shapes and moods in this one.

I went to a new city and a craft fair today and i totally didn’t get any good photos of myself 🙁 Anyway, these were some just home and worn out photos. Another one below.

It was rainy for thus another craft show I attended. I think it put a slight damper on things. Boo.

I tried to take some outdoor rain shots. They were all really blah with bad lighting. Yuck! So, I came in and took indoor a.k.a. I’m going to have 7 years of bad luck shots. None of these were all that great either. I’m tired and didn’t want to reshoot, so this is the pose for the day.

Also, it must be said that 47 is one of my favorite numbers. 7 is my favorite number with 4 coming in second place. I don’t know why…has always been this way since I was a kid.

My dad and his friend is staying with me tonight. They are road trippin’. We ate at Black Angus. It was really good. It was a kinda overwhelming atmosphere. Interrogation-like almost…ha ha. Anyway, it was a good visit.

My dad and his traveling buddy will be in town tomorrow. So, I had to bust a move tonight and clean my apartment. If you know me, you know I hate to clean. I’m very good at staging stuff to appear it looks good, but behind the scenes, everything is randomly orchestrated as shown here in my closet…

Oh, and obviously…above, I am doing laundry.

shove it in the closet

Yeah, notice my projects…the paper lantern and the scrapbook papers for my wall. Honestly, everything that is in here should be carefully looked through and sorted, but I didn’t have time. It would take me days to do that. Ugh, I wish I had a personal organizer. A maid would be nice too!

Oh, I even vacuumed too.

Today wasn’t a great day or a bad day, it was just a day. honestly not trying to be negative, but I kinda have cleaning over my head. I could go on, but basically, I don’t have a very good method for cleaning /organizing and it doesn’t come naturally to me; therefore it wears me out. I have visitors next week and I want my place to be somewhat in order. I made some progress, but I still have a lot more to do.

I love this wall that’s in the Tower District. It was so colorful. I don’t want to post all the photos tonight, but I’ll post more in the upcoming weeks of this wall and some of the other building art in that area.

An ordinary day. Nothing too exciting happened. There was this very weird small stream of light at my apartment entryway that intrigued me, so I got on it quick. By the time I finished the 3 minute photo shoot of my shoes it was practically gone. I like the natural little vignette it created.

This plastic chicken is a fixture at work. The guys always squeeze it as they walk by and it quacks. I though I would have fun with it today.

Standing outside of Anthropologie. I didn’t go in (was about to close and I just went 2 days ago). I don’t go to the mall too often, but I went to Sephora and Urban Outfitters to check out their books and gifts. They had some great stuff there. Oh, and they sell Wreck this Journal there as well.

Did go to Panera tonight with a co-worker! What can I say? I can never get enough!

Until next time Swellions!
