Some things you just can’t throw away…

april - outer space

So, last night I featured my pin-up shrine, and tonight I thought I would share a few more images from that 2004 Cynthia Hart calendar that those images came from. I’m pretty sure my mom bought this for me as a Christmas present a few years back. I love all things retro/kitsch as you prob. already know, so this one is one I hung onto. I think my favorite of the pages is the one you see above…soooo campy. Love it!

Anyway, here’s some more from the other months that I want to frame or do a project of some kind with. The only problem is that some of them have images that run onto the large 12×12 page 🙁 I guess I can just cover them up or leave them be…and of course there’s that pesky drill hole, but I don’t think the majority of people would even care or notice if it was framed in one of those scrapbook/LP art-type frames.

september - bowling
Everyone loves bowling! Especially pin-up girls!

october - western
I can’t help but think of my dad when I see this one. He LOVES westerns and even watches them on the Western channel on the satellite. He is excited I’m in California now, since many of the westerns were filmed around these parts.

february - family
I wonder what little Tommy is yelling? If it were today, he’d prob. be burping at his sister.

soda fountain
And everyone loves a good ol’ soda fountain shop! I used to go to one in Stanford, KY called Coleman’s that had all the old components and stools. A couple weeks ago, I noticed there was a soda fountain inside of a popular drugstore chain down the street, but it was bit more modernized (not as cool).

So do you see why I have such a hard time parting with it? Do you keep old tossable artwork around like this that you can’t live without?

Until next time Swellions!
