I’m not much of a nature photographer, but I took some pretty nature photos this past weekend I thought I would share!
And here’s one of the grass. There was a rainbow that the sprinkler was creating. I think it turned out neat.
Oh, and how cute is William’s niece???

I got another cool new app called Swankolab by the makers of Hipstamatic! I have been having a lot of fun with it. It does a lot of fun photo effects and simulates a darkroom. Visit the web site…it really is a hoot! The sound effects especially. Here’s some fun artsy photos I shot with my phone and process using the app that I wanted to share…

Tonight I took some photos of things I love (including my Pixie cat). She is so cute how she cuddles on the couch. She is such a photogenic girl.
I also tried to come up with a cool, crafty project. It didn’t turn out how I had planned, but that’s just part of trial and error, I guess…just gotta keep chugging along and another idea will strike!

I also played around with some mirrors for a project. I love mini mirrors, I would just need more to accomplish the project I want to make…Wah, wahhhhhhhhhh.
I am attempting on working on a red scarf. I love this yarn. I just have to practice more. I can knit, but I can’t purl very well and I need to get familiar with the process. I know it will just take time. 
Here’s another pic of the Pix. She is so weird. She runs away if I make sudden moves, but when I put a camera in her face, she is surprisingly cool with it. Oh, well, I have come to realize that she’s an oddball…kinda like me!

So, I haven’t done a “Wednesday is Lensday” in a while, but tonight while thinking about what I was going to post, my heart just wasn’t in it. I felt like expressing myself through my photos and that’s just what I did. The fact that they are Halloween colors, well, that’s what I have laying around the house right now, so it was an immediate go-to. Go figure.

This is a close up of an orange foil gift bow. It’s not quite as in focus as I would like, but maybe that makes it cooler? Very abstract, I think.
A detail of my retro reproduction lamp. I purchased it at Deadly Nightshades about 5 or so years ago. Kinda wish I bought the double lamps. Maybe down the road…

Admittedly, when I shoot close up for a while, it sometimes strains eyes, so I have a teeny tiny headache right now. Nevertheless, I hope you found these little orange and yellow photos inspiring!
