Wanted to share a few of my recent creations. Good times!!

I made this for my Curbly post last week, but I didn’t end up using it. I thought it was a bit too simple looking. I still like it…what do you think? Would it be something you would be interested in learning how to do?

homeade whipped cream
I made homeade whipped cream to go on top of angel food cake and strawberries. It was so yummy. I’ve never made the real kind before! I’m sure it’s fattening, but I’m ignoring that.

Number and Lines ATC
And here’s an ATC I did on the fly that I gave to my new Fresno friend Kristy. I met her at Twee a couple weeks ago and she was making ATC’s, so I stopped to make one too. I gave her this one and she sent me one in the mail that she made. It was nice to get snail mail! I never get actual letters anymore!

Hope you have a great Tuesday!

Until next time Sweilions!

Trompe l’oeil Love

Trompe L'oeil Office Chairs

I’m finishing up my week as a guest blogger at Curbly! My last post is on all things Trompe l’oeil! I just love this style so much!

By the way, the image above is of an Eames Lounge and Saarinen Tulip Chair attached to everyday office chairs. Cool huh? It is by designer Chenhui Su! I found it via Apartment Therapy.

I’ll be back to my regular blog business next week!

Until next time Swellions!

Hipstamatic Lightbox

Finished Lightbox

I’m guest blogging all this week at Curbly! Hop on over there and see my latest feature…a Hipstamatic Lightbox! I planned on doing a DIY for father’s day called “Pop Art” featuring a photo of my daddy, but it was way to involved for me to explain how to do it. I did complete it, I just didn’t have it in me to explain step by step how to do it. Writing step by steps for Photoshop is really hard and you have to be really thorough.

Hope you enjoy my Curbly post!!

Get more for your social media mileage!

So, last night, I figured out how to link my flickr account to my twitter account. It’s relatively pretty easy to do. When I posted my Flickr picture to the Twitter account, I immediately got a large handful of views to my photos as well as a lot of new Facebook comments (my Twitter is then liked to update my Facebook status). I know this may sound kinda overwhelming and confusing, but if you are on the internet a lot and are trying to build traffic and hits to your various sites, it’s a great to link all your social media apps to each other. You just cover a lot more bases doing this and it saves you a lot of time and work! I thought I would share how-to’s I compiled on how to do this as well as some other helpful social media streamlining articles if you are interested. There are still a lot of kinks I need to work out to streamline my web usage, but these are some great social media tools that have helped me out!
