Wednesday is Lensday: Snapshots from my Week

Buttons
Here’s a few quick Hipstamatic iPhoneography photos from my week. Man, I love that app! The button photo above was taken at craft night at my friend Patty’s house. I couldn’t resist!

I’m so emo.

Shower
A look into my shower. I swear it isn’t as dirty as the photo makes it look!

Balls
Christmas balls reflection while at Sephora in JCPenney.

Light
My bedroom window. I don’t ever really open the shade. Everyone could see in from the courtyard!

At home
Someone around Fresno does all these great painted windows. I think they freehand it. I think it’s a special talent.

Wanted to fill you in on a few things (and also share a few of my recent photos).

โ€“ I got my new iPhone. After a small speedbump with the SIM card, it is working like a charm. I’m loving the front facing camera and the new Instabooth iPhone app I downloaded from the App Store.

โ€“ Spent Friday night to Pismo’s (a fairly new restaurant in Fresno near Riverpark). The food there is sooooo good. I totally am going to take my friend Tasha there in a couple weeks when she comes to visit. It’s so yummy and the food is always so pretty. Love it!

And on a much random note, a variety of the things I did this weekend: Went to Alana’s baby shower (shopped at Spencer’s – ha! for the gift), went to Modesto to see my boys (William and Frankie), went to an estate sale (felt sad looking through stuff that once meant something to someone), got a DQ Peanut Buster Parfait, went to the car wash, washed 3 old episodes of Breaking Bad, watched the movie, The Professional.

OVerall, it was a great weekend. And now, I’m tired and going to bed ๐Ÿ™‚

Until next time Swellions!

Hipstamatic Lightbox

Finished Lightbox

I’m guest blogging all this week at Curbly! Hop on over there and see my latest feature…a Hipstamatic Lightbox! I planned on doing a DIY for father’s day called “Pop Art” featuring a photo of my daddy, but it was way to involved for me to explain how to do it. I did complete it, I just didn’t have it in me to explain step by step how to do it. Writing step by steps for Photoshop is really hard and you have to be really thorough.

Hope you enjoy my Curbly post!!

Until next time Swellions!!

Check out my cool Hipstamatic pics :)

Hey guys! Sorry for being M.I.A. over the past couple of days. I guess I was tired and just needed my rest (I crashed at 10:30 both nights).

Anyway, I just wanted to share some fun photos that I’ve taken with my Hipstamatic app for my iPhone! Hands down, this is my most favorite app that I’ve ever purchased. It gives the look of old vintage camera effects and you can purchase different lenses, film, and flashes (each add on is 99ยข). Anyway, it’s just so fun and you get such artsy effects without really trying at all!

Hot Dog on a Stick
Here’s a photo I took tonight while walking past Hot Dog on A Stick. The colors of the lemonade caught my eye and I knew it would make for a great photo!

The Sky
Here’s a moody photo of the sky. It looks so haunting!

Abstract cup
Here’s a cool one I took while at the stop light (I know, I know…shame, shame). Anyway, I shot this through a plastic cup for this cool abstract effect.

Here’s one adorable poodle…Mr. Frankie! It kinda looks like he’s missing an eye!

Standstill
And I can’t show Frankie’s cuteness without showing Pixie’s too!

Big wheel keeps on turnin'
I went to a carnival last week and shot this one…

Tickets
I really like this one too. A kid was running away, thus the shadow you see in the middle.

For those interested in downloading it, their web site pretty much sums it up. I think part of the reason I like this app so much is because they really devoted a lot of time into making it authentic and all the design and description details are so campy and cool. It really does feel like you’re using an old analog camera.

Hope you have a great Friday! Until next time Swellions!
