Weekend in Vegas

I met my Dad out in Vegas for Derby Day. Of course, we gambled (slots, Blackjack, and Derby), ate at the buffet, saw a magic and tiger show by Rick Thomas (at the legendary Sahara that’s closing next week for good), saw street performers, and some freaks. I guess I’m not sticking to the saying by showing you my pictures (I’m not going to say it), but here’s some of the fun shots I took!! Of course, I had to take pics of neon signage…my fave!

And I spent a lot of time in the airport cause of a delay. The black and white above is the Close Encounters-looking ceiling.

Until next time Swellions!

The Neon Boneyard Museum

So, I’m back…not sure if it officially back, but I’m trying to get back into the swing of things.

One of the many things I did while I was away was visit Vegas for a couple of days. I visited the Neon Museum a.k.a. Neon Boneyard something I had been wanting to visit for the past couple of years. It was really cool, though a bit rushed. I’m happy that I got to see it though. We (my friend Chris and I) almost didn’t get to. We got there on the last tour before it was closed to the public for 4 months. They are apparently making an official museum and revamping the place some.

Anyway, enjoy the pics, and I promise to get back into the swing of things real soon!!!
