A quickie look at my new glasses!

I just got two new pairs of glasses. Yippee! I had the other pair for about 4 or 5 years so it was time for a change. Also, I wanted to get two pair cause I’ve always wanted to be able to mix up my look every now and then. I plan to go back and get contacts at some point soon too, but honestly, I’m pretty lazy and I just like glasses.

When I went to the Dr., he said I’d be a good candidate for Lasik. I’ve not put too much thought into it and I’ve heard mixed reactions on it. Maybe down the road I would consider it, but I don’t think it’s something I will do anytime in the near future.

I know these aren’t great pics or detail, but I promise to post better photos soon. One pair is DKNY and black lenses with black and white stripes on the side and subtle black/green around the inside. The other is Ermenegildo Zegna and has tortoise shell at thop and it fads into a blue with stripes. It’s really pretty. They have a similar style frame, but the black DKNY is a bit more angular.

And for nostalgia sake, here’s a pic of all the glasses I’ve worn up until this point. I’ve never thrown any of my old pairs away. I have had them since 2nd grade and my eyesight is really bad. Both my mom and dad have bad eyesight. I would prob be considered legally blind, but what qualifies that? I’m not sure.

Anyway, just wanted to share!

Until next time Swellions!

I think it is time for some new glasses

17/365
I’ve been wanting some new glasses for awhile and Pattiewack keeps asking me when I’m going to get them. I guess I’ve just been lazy, but I think today might just have to be the day.

This photo might help you understand why.

I broke my glasses
I accidentally sat on them while getting ready for work this morning. I put them on the corner of my bed and plopped right down on them. And, oh geez, this photo is terrible. So not flattering at all!

Nerd tape
I tried the nerd herd/4 eyes look, but it wouldn’t hold. I guess it wasn’t meant to be.

Jewelry and metal glue did the trick
I then enlisted my friend Allee for some help. She broke out the Aleene’s® Jewelry and Metal Glue™.

Temporary fix
Not quite as good as new, but a quick fix so I can atleast wear them until I get some new.

I can’t wait to get a new style (or two) and even some new contacts to wear!

Until next time Swellions!
