What you need: Large and small white pumpkins, Tulip Fashion Glitter 5 pack, Aleene’s large adhesive Tacky Dots (available at Michaels), Aleene’s Fast Grab Tacky Spray, and polka dot stickers.
I started with my large polka dot pumpkin. The Tacky Dots are super easy to use and extra large! They are double sided so you simply remove the plastic backing from one side of the dot and adhere, peeling the other plastic backing away.
Instead of putting all the dots on one time, I did a section at a time.
I simply glittered the dots using the Tulip Fashion Glitters, making sure to cover them well.
I then dumped off the glitter. Next I applied another series of dots, and I continued with turquoise. I next glittered the royal blue and purple dots! If there’s any excess glitter on the pumpkins, I used a small paintbrush to brush the glitter off.
For the small pumpkin, randomly put the polka dot stickers on your pumpkin.
Spray the top of the pumpkin with glitter using the Fast Grab Tacky Spray. Sprinkle the first coat of glitter and shake off.
Spray the next section and add the next color of glitter. Continue with the next two colors until your pumpkin is covered like this.
Peel off the stickers carefully. You can use a small paintbrush to ged rid of any excess glitter inside your dots.
And there you have it! Of course you can use your favorite colors of glitter in ombre shades – or – you could do it in a shade like candy corn colors…wouldn’t that be fun?
Here’s a version my friend Pattiewack used just using the regular orange pumpkin and black glitter! Such a classic fun look!
