Have you seen the latest trend in painting? Simply pouring paint on canvases is the latest big thing. I wanted to give a twist on this idea and make it a pumpkin instead…and the results were so, so fun!

I created this project for the Darby Smart app, watch the video above to see how easy it is to do this project, there’s literally NO skill involved to make this project. If you are looking for other fun projects like this one with the holidays coming up, download the Darby smart app and get inspired to create you own holiday DIYs for sell or gift-giving!

Here’s a pin you can save to keep this idea for next year!

How to make a Handkerchief Pumpkin + Video Tutorial

Tonight I made this super cute pumpkin project in about 5 minutes!  I think it’s a great alternative pumpkin decorating idea if you are stretched for time.  And it’s a super cute way to add a fabric print to your pumpkins as well!

I decided to mix it up tonight and do a video tutorial for this one!  Watch it above. It’s really quick and to the point!

A couple things to note about this project:

– I covered up a pumpkin with a lot of glue stains on it, so this is a great project if you have any CraftFails you need to redo.

– The small foam pumpkins and handkerchiefs work well together, but you could use a larger piece of fabric cut to fit for a larger pumpkin.  I bet there’s some pretty fun prints and fabrics out there you could dream up.  This is a great way to infuse your home décor colors or to play with an unexpected fabric choice.

I think the pumpkin looks a little bit country and a little bit rock and roll! LOL.  There’s a lot of handkerchiefs out there with fun designs to get your own look!

Until next time Swellions!
