More Cool Stuff from the San Francisco Renegade Craft Fair!

Pure Palette Candles

Here’s more of the goodies I got at the Renegade Craft Fair this past weekend!

As you can see above, I’m a sucker for candles. Pure Palette had some of the most amazing and clean scents. I am in heaven!

Orchard Farm Soap

Speaking of scents, I am one never to turn a good pumpkin spice one down. I gotta get ready for fall, y’all! Thank you Orchard Farms!

Uppercase Magazine issues
I’ve admired Uppercase magazine for awhile, so I finally got my hands on several issues!! It’s such a cool artsy/bloggy/illustrative mag. You should check it out!!

Cool Wrestling Wrapping Paper

I’ve also had a weakness for wrapping paper the psst couple of weeks. I think this sheet by Viva Greetings isn’t going to get used for wrapping, it’s totally getting framed!

I also purchased a goodie for Christmas for William, and this shirt for William’s niece Sophie from Pinecone and Chickadee.

Oh and I almost forgot…a cute bag like this from Miss Alison! I love vinyl and glitter!

Wendy and I had a great time! I don’t need to go to another one for awhile!! I could become obsessed!

Until next time Swellions!

Fun at the Renegade Craft Fair

Helvetica necklace

This is my new “helvetica” necklace by Plastique. If you’re a graphic design nerd, you may have seen their KE RN rings. I got it yesterday at the San Francisco Renegade Craft Fair. I went there with my friend and co-worker Wendy! It was one of the best craft shows I’ve been too. There were like 100 vendors…everything from candles and soap to plushies and jewelry.

They also had some fun make-it take it demos. For $10 bucks you could make a cool toy charm bracelet. I chose to make mine out of black, red, and off white charms. I added numbers too. It turned out super cool I think. Their little crafting area was decked out in old board games to craft on. Super cute idea!

Finished charm bracelet at Renegade Craft faire!

Tomorrow I’ll show you some of the fun things I saw and other things I bought. I spent way too much money! It’s so easy to do when you are there with all the cool stuff and it’s one chance to buy it!

Until next time Swellions!

Off to Chicago

I’m leaving in a bit for the Chicago Renegade Craft Fair. I am really excited, but just am wishing my pesky cramps would go away this morning to make for a much happier trip.

Trying to get everything in line and in order. Making headway. Now I just need to go clean out my car and make a grocery store run before I pick up Retta & Chris. I’m admittedly not looking forward to the drive, but they will be nice company and will make it much much quicker. I’ve never been one for being cooped in the car for long bouts!

I promise I will post a lot of fun, colorful photos when I return. So, Swellions, expect my next post on Monday 🙂

Take care and have a good weekend!

Wednesday is Lensday: It’s Craft Time!

I wanted to share today some of the many materials I work with in my crafts. I have so much stuff that I have yet to use on an inspired project!! Atleast it can take center stage in my photo, even if it doesn’t turn in my next best project.

A couple quick things about today….

1. My friends Retta and possibly Chris are going to the Renegade Craft Fair in a couple months in Chicago. I have never been to one and have been dying to go. Retta and I share a lot of the same sensibilities, so she is super psyched as well. Yippee!

2. Bought some stuff tonight at Old Navy…a pair of black pants for work, a green top with smocking detail (I noticed all the styles are so dainty and girly pretty right now), 2 pairs of flip flops and get this – a red denim skirt for only 99¢! I love deals like that!

3. Wal-mart has nothing copper-colored in their craft section other than one roll of wide organza ribbon. Boo! I did notice that they were putting up the new planograms and Martha Stewart has a huge new section in there. It looks different than the look for Michaels…must be an exclusive Wal-mart deal. I bet some people aren’t too happy with her being in there. I also noticed a lot of really unique new cutting tools including markers that also cut while you use them. Yeah, it was weird, but I was intrigued enough to see how it worked…it’s like an exacto blade is in the marker!

4. I heard on NPR’s Marketplace that Flickr is partnering up with Getty images and offering some of the photographers licensing deals to use their images. I need to read up more on it, actually…found an article This a link to an article from the Seattle PI Newson it.

Yeah, this post is short and sweet. I’m super tired and have to clean up that paint mess. Ick! I hate doing that!

Until we meet again Swellions!
